A 30-second grounding technique
For busy hands and busy minds — no ring required
Name 3 things you can feel. The chair under you, your feet on the floor, the fabric of your sleeve. This pulls attention out of your head and into your body.
Press your thumb and forefinger together, slowly, for 5 seconds. Release. Repeat 3 times. This is the same principle behind why fidgeting helps — small, repetitive movement gives your nervous system something to regulate around.
One slow exhale, longer than your inhale. Even a single breath like this signals safety to your nervous system.
