Subtly Anxious. Empower yourself. Embrace your thoughts.®

Why Subtly Anxious?

Mental health disorders such as anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive, compulsive disorder (OCD) require diagnosis to be able to get treatment. When this diagnosis is missed in younger years, especially in females where there were not even studies about ADHD in females until early 2000s, we grow into high functioning adults who learn to mask symptoms of anxiety, ADHD and OCD and use other mechanisms to cope. There have been many cases of women being misdiagnosed with anxiety and depression and eventually being diagnosed with ADHD.

What we are seeing is more late-diagnosed females, more research and understanding of anxiety and ADHD therefore a better understanding of how our brains are wired.

Subtly Anxious. Empower yourself. Embrace your thoughts.® concept is that anxiety rings are one of many tools and strategies that you would use to empower yourself. When you are feeling anxious, you don’t ignore your thoughts - you embrace them.®

The subtle spinning vibration, and the fidget beads of each ring may assist with sensory processing to stim and provide a sense of calm and stress relief when wearing.

Our rings are subtly and elegant because everyone deserves to feel their best. Wearing our ring will empower you to embrace your thoughts and feel your best.

Anti tarnish and water resistant sterling silver

We are the only Australian online stockist of only 925 sterling silver base anxiety jewellery - which means lasting quality, does not tarnish and is water resistant.

7 reasons to choose 925 Sterling silver

1. Durability: Sterling silver is known for its robustness and durability. It is less prone to scratches and damage compared to costume jewellery (made of copper or brass). Sterling silver can last for generations if properly maintained.

2. Hypoallergenic: For those with sensitive skin or allergies, sterling silver is a safe choice. It is less likely to trigger skin reactions compared to lower-quality metals often found in cheaper brass and copper jewellery.

3. Affordability: Sterling silver offers high-quality jewellery at a more affordable price point compared to solid gold. It allows you to own a precious metal piece without breaking your budget.

4. Versatility: Sterling silver has a neutral shade that matches well with most outfits and other pieces of jewellery. It can be worn for both casual and formal occasions, unlike solid gold which is often limited to formal events.

5. Maintainability: While sterling silver does tarnish over time, it is simple to clean and restore its original shine using readily available silver cleaning solutions or a polishing cloth. Costume jewellery, on the other hand, tends to lose its shine and look worn-out over time and you need to throw it out.

6. Wide Variety: Sterling silver jewellery allows us to design a wide range of styles, giving you a broader choice range. You can easily find a piece that expresses your personal style compared to the often more traditional and limited designs in solid gold.

7. Value: Lastly, sterling silver still holds considerable value, unlike costume jewelry which generally has no resale value. It doesn't match solid gold's value but is still a precious metal you can consider as an investment.

Always check the materials when purchasing jewellery online - if it doesn’t state what materials the jewellery is made of, it’s likely to be copper or brass (usually costume jewellery that will rust and tarnish).

Unlike other cheaper rings (anxiety rings, worry rings, fidget rings, meditation rings, or spinner rings) in the online market, Subtly Anxious® rings are crafted from high quality 18k gold, white gold and rose gold plated all on s925 sterling silver (many anxiety rings are plated in gold and nickel-free and chromium-free, but made of copper or stainless steel).

All of our anxiety rings are hypoallergenic and water-resistant so won’t cause skin reactions for those with sensitive skin.

Elegance does not mean bling and flashy. Elegance means high quality and lasting. This is why all of our rings have a base metal of 925 sterling silver.

When purchasing jewellery online, always check and see the material of the base metal. If it doesn’t tell you, it’s probably copper, brass or steel.

Our ring designs are curated or designed to incorporate elegance and timeless pieces - you won’t see some of our designs anywhere else because they are unique. That is until Temu tries to copy us (again!).

Our mission

Subtly Anxious® is an Australian owned small business where our mission started by raising awareness about mental health and wellbeing and enlighten, empower, and support individuals touched by anxiety, autism, ADHD and OCD - whether officially diagnosed or not.

Our commitment
We are committed to fostering an inclusive society where awareness and compassion need to come together, and nurturing a community equipped with strategies and tools for mental wellbeing. We strive to create conversations and connections that enable resilience and understanding, ensuring that every person feels valued and supported in their journey towards embracing and managing their mental health.

The more awareness we raise, the more we are able to increase our understanding to recover, put strategies and tools in place to empower and embrace and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

Social impact

During our first year, we raised $850 to Beyond Blue’s big blue table in October 2023. Beyond Blue helped us and others in similar circumstances in so many ways.

If you'd like to donate to Beyond Blue, know that every dollar raised will go towards funding Beyond Blue’s Support Service. When someone feels alone or overwhelmed, or like they don’t know what to do next – no matter who they are, where they live, or what time of day it is – it’s vital that they know Beyond Blue is there for them.

In 2024, we are looking to raise our social impact as autism advocates so watch this space.

As we continue to learn more in our journey, our aim as autism advocates is to ensure autism spectrum disorder is not only understood better in the early years but to also advocate for better inclusion and accommodations for autism.

The more we advocate about this issue, the more we are able to increase the understanding of others, which in turn may mean better supports and accommodations.

Join us as we go on our journey for autism awareness, autism acceptance and autism accomodations.
