The more awareness we raise, the more we are able to increase our understanding to recover, put strategies and tools in place to empower and embrace and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

During our first year, we raised $850 to Beyond Blue’s big blue table. Beyond Blue helped us and others in similar circumstances in so many ways.

This year, we gifted $2000 worth of Sakura anxiety rings to the Salvation Army to the mental health unit, for young people at risk of homelessness and mental health issues for their Christmas event.

We have also donated to our local community Kindergarten’s fundraising efforts.

After our son’s autism diagnosis, we saw the underwhelming amount of freely available resources for neurodivergent families, so we’ve made it our mission to create freely available resources for neurodivergent families.

As we continue to learn more in our journey, our aim as autism advocates is to ensure autism spectrum disorder is not only understood better in the early years but to also advocate for better inclusion and accommodations for autism and ADHD.

The more we advocate about this issue, the more we are able to increase the understanding of others, which in turn may mean better supports and accommodations.
